Fr. Jim Poulsen is a retired priest of the Diocese of San Diego. Fr. Jim was born in Schenectady, NY and was raised in San Diego, graduating from Clairemont High School. He entered the seminary at USD and completed theological studies at Gregorian University. Fr. Jim was ordained in St. Peter’s Basilica in 1968, and was the founding pastor of St. Gregory the Great Parish in 1985, and also pastor of Saint Martin of Tours Parish, both in San Diego. Retiring in 2017, he is still active in pastoral ministry at local parishes throughout the Diocese, celebrating Eucharist and the Catholic Faith.
Angela Zautcke, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Franciscan School of Theology at USD. She received her doctorate in Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity at the University of Notre Dame and a concurrent MA in Classics.
