In today’s homily, Father Jerry describes All Hallows parishioners’ differences in powerful detail. “And yet despite these differences — regardless of race, gender, orientation, age, attitude, social class, physical condition, ideals, circumstances, and experiences — are one in Jesus Christ. And for that reason we are all united with one another.”
“I am the vine,” says Jesus, “You are the branches.”
“Together, you and I can do more for others than we can as individuals, because the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts,” says Father Jerry, “That’s what Jesus is talking about today when He says, ‘Whoever remains in me and I and him or her will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.'”
