JOIN THE PARISH SERVICE DAY TO THE SAN DIEGO FOOD BANK

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer at the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank Warehouse, located at 9850 Distribution Avenue, San Diego CA, 92121. 20 spaces have been reserved for All Hallows Catholic Church to volunteer on May 19 from 6-8 pm.

You can sign up for the shift starting on April 19 and ending on May 10. After this window of time expires, any of our group’s unused volunteer slots will be released to the public.

1. Click “Sign Up” for the Miramar Warehouse Evening Shift Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
2. It will redirect you to a page to sign in or create an account.
   • If you have previously volunteered with the Food Bank, sign in to your existing account and your sign up will be complete.
   • If you need to create an account, click on the “create account” button on the top right of the page.
3. Type in a username and password.
4. Click “Next” when asked for a join code. This does not apply to our group.
5. The next page will ask you to check all that apply. Usually it’s “I just want to volunteer”
6. Complete the personal information sections and accept the waiver. Once done, click “Submit”
7. You will be redirected back to the sign up page.  Click “Sign Up” for the volunteer shift

Important Information:

1. Each person in the group must sign up for the shift – this includes kids (11 years of age or older), friends, significant others, family members, etc. Any unused volunteer slots will be released for other community volunteers to sign up 1 Week prior to the scheduled shift. To sign up for the shift all volunteers must sign in to their account, scroll to the event date and select the green “sign up” circle next to the date.
2. Volunteers who are not registered for the shift may be turned away. Shift limits are in place for safety and liability purposes, as well as to provide a great volunteer experience by having the appropriate volunteer to staff ratio.
3. Volunteers at the San Diego Food Bank warehouse in Miramar & Vista must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer independently. Volunteers aged 11-15 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older). The adult/chaperone must be registered for the same shift. Groups with volunteers between the ages of 11 and 15 must have at least 1 adult to every 4 children.
4. Must wear close-toed shoes.
5. Plan on arriving 10 minutes early for the shift.  Arrivals later than 10 minutes past the beginning of the shift will not be allowed to volunteer.
6. We have a high demand for volunteers to help eliminate hunger in our community, if you need to:

1. • cancel your reservation,
   • add more volunteers to this event (space permitting), or
   • If your group will have a lower turnout than expected, please email the Volunteer Engagement Team at volunteer@sandiegofoodbank.org to let us know at least 7 days in advance.
