Today the church celebrates The Feast of Saint André Bessette who died on the 6th of January 1937 at the age of 91. He was orphaned at age 12 and was known as a healer, and “The Miracle Man” of Montreal. He was a very humble man who when he joined the religious order. André was assigned the lowly position of being porter, or door opener, and he used to joke that when he joined the order they “showed him the door” and he never left it.
He was dedicated and fostered devotion to Saint Joseph, and over one million people paid their respects at his death.
Let us pray.
