DESCRIPTION:At La Jolla Meals On Wheels\, our mission is to promote indepen
 dent living for homebound seniors and/or disabled persons by providing nut
 ritious meals and caring visits in La Jolla and surrounding neighborhoods 
 in University City.\n\nDonate Here\n\nVolunteer Here\n\n\n\nWe have been d
 elivering Meals on Wheels meals as a couple for the last several years. I 
 must compliment everyone involved with the distribution and organization o
 f this endeavor. From those who set up the deliveries to those kind souls 
 who are waiting for us to do our food pickups. There are always smiles and
  thank you's given in abundance for our efforts. We in turn are rewarded b
 y meeting some very lovely and grateful recipients at their front doors.\n
 It's a spiritual uplifting experience that we are proud to be a part of on
  both ends of the system... We give of our time but we also receive many k
 ind compliments.\n\nIf you are interested in giving of your time and energ
 y to this amazing and worthwhile cause\, we encourage you to look further 
 into it. It's simple\, takes less than a couple of hours and you will leav
 e knowing you have helped someone in need. I always count my blessings and
  thank God for the ability and time to give back to others.\n\nLook inside
  your hearts and listen to the call to help others in this way. You'll be 
 amazed at how simple it is\, and how good you will feel from the experienc
