“Today’s first reading tells the story of Noah and the Ark. It’s a particularly appropriate story, given our sheltering-in-place lifestyle, because most of us have felt like Noah and his family during the pandemic,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily. “We’ve been cooped up in the ark of our homes with little or no contact with family and friends outside of our ‘bubble.’ We have all been waiting for the rain of the pandemic to stop and for safe dry land to return. So, why do we do it? Why do we put our lives on hold?”
